What's up everyone!
I hope your week is off to an awesome start 🙂
We're trying something new for this round of Cultivated Career tips. Starting today, I'm going to include a short audio clip of me talking through the updates in the email. You can click to listen right here:
Big Updates at Cultivated Culture
I've been heads down for the past few months working on some big updates! Three specifically, here's more on each:
ResyBuild 2.0 – We've completely rebuilt our Resume Builder from the ground up and it's about 95% of the way done. The new version is going to be much more stable and include a bunch of new features like multi-page support, better custom sections, and a whole lot more! As always, it's still going to be 100% free.
LinkedIn Course – I'm in the middle of working on a brand new course that's focused on turning your LinkedIn into an opportunity generating machine (whether you're a job seeker, professional, aspiring thought leader, or entrepreneur). Keep an eye out for a release date later this summer!
Value Validation Packs – VVPs are the concept that I get asked most about, so I wanted to create something that included some examples as well as pre-made templates you can edit. Those will be coming in early summer (I'm aiming for June!).
I'm super excited about all of these things and I can't wait to get them into your hands.
Ask Austin Anything: March 2021
I've spoken about the monthly Ask Me Anything episodes I do on the podcast, but this one was a blast. We had some awesome questions this month including…
What are two LinkedIn habits I can do every day to maximize my time and reach?
After I decide on a mentor, what do I ask? How do I make it meaningful?
What are the best strategies for transitioning into a different career path?
What's the best way to find jobs that aren't advertised?
I answered them all on this month's episode, you can click here to listen.

My Worst Investment Ever!
I love talking about the bad stuff.
The stuff that went wrong, the times where I messed up, the struggles I run into. I'm totally over the “Tip Of The Iceberg” mentality that the media and many entrepreneurs are taking.
They only show us the 10% of the results that happened as a result of the failures, mistakes, issues, struggles, etc. making up the 90% that lead to that result.
In that vein, I was pumped when Andrew Stotz invited me to be on his podcast My Worst Investment Ever.
We chatted about a lot of stuff that I don't normally share on podcasts, including the worst investment I've ever made.

⚡Lightning Round⚡
The lightning round is where we have a little fun! I'll share some links to things I'm reading, things I'm learning, things I'm loving, and things I'm testing:
Book(s) I'm Reading: American Kingpin – Nick Bilton (audio), A Promised Land – Barack Obama (hardcover)
Thing I'm Trying: Making more hot sauce! I've been playing around with a variation of Tacolicious's Orange Sauce recipe for a long time now. I've finally gotten it close to where I want it to be so I decided to design some labels. Half the fun of home brewing and hot sauce making is being able to design some cool labels to go with the final product.
Song I'm Jamming To: Lose Your Head (CamelPhat Remix) – London Grammar
Best Beer I've Had Recently: Intersect – Torch & Crown (pic below ft. the Brooklyn skyline)
Be well!
