Hey hey! I hope you're having a fantastic July so far!
I'm a firm believer that you're allowed to complain about one season, but that's all you get.
For me, I'm complaining about winter for the entire freaking season. I hate the cold. But I will never complain when it's hot during the summer.
I've been loving the 90+ degree weather we've been having!
On top of that, yesterday was National Fried Chicken Day, one of my favorite holidays. Lily surprised me with a trip to my favorite spot, Bobwhite Counter for a fried chicken biscuit (yes, biscuits are better than sammies and you can't tell me otherwise). I still have to see what all the rage is about with Burger King's sandwich and if it stacks up with the competition…
That said, I'm back with another edition of Cultivated Career Tips here. If you want to listen to me talk through the email, here's the audio version:
The past month has been truly awesome for folks in the Cultivated Culture community.
We've had dozens and dozens of people score offers at some pretty amazing companies including Google, Facebook, and more. My favorite reaction was Frankie's though. He sent me a video after he score his role and I had to share it with you:
Exclusive Fireside Chat & Breakout Rooms With Network Under 40
I'm teaming up with Network Under 40 this Thursday (July 8th) for a fireside chat on job searching and networking.
I'm spending the first hour talking through some of my best strategies with my buddy Jared Kleinert.
Then we'll be facilitating some breakout groups for the next hour where I can answers your questions, give advice, and help you connect with other people who are on the same mission!
It'll be an awesome way for us to connect and for you to get personal advice.
These events are typically only available to members of Network Under 40, but I wanted to make sure you all had access too. I even got them to offer $10 off the ticket price (just use the code austin).

Introducing ResyBuild 2.0 (Our Upgraded Resume Builder)!
Two years ago, we released the initial version of our free resume builder.
It got the job done but it also had a lot of room for improvement!
Welp, we spent the past 12 months improving it. We actually rebuilt the entire thing from scratch on a brand new, state-of-the-art code base.
Upgrades include a completely overhauled mobile experience, the ability create multi-page resumes, more flexibility with custom sections, and more reliability from the tool:
We soft launched it a few weeks ago and we've been ironing out the kinks since (there's always something with a big technical update!). Now it's all ready for you to jump into.
Per usual, it's 100% free. You can create, edit, save, and export as many resumes as you'd like.

⚡ Lightning Round ⚡
The lightning round is where we have a little fun! I'll share some links to things I'm reading, things I'm learning, things I'm loving, and things I'm testing:
Book(s) I'm Reading: I finished up two books this month. I'm super happy to be back on a bit of a biography kick this year, I forgot how much I loved reading other people's stories. Also, if you have any recommendations for books, I'm almost done with The Road and need some for the next one:
- Eat A Peach – David Chang (the founder of Momofuku – this is one of the most raw and authentic success stories I've read. I loved every page.)
- The Road – Cormac McCarthy
Song I'm Jamming To: Nobody – Gorgon City & Drama (GC's entire new album Olympia is great)
Best Beer I've Had Recently: DDH Space Dream – Other Half
Stay cool,
Austin
